NBA Opportunity in Vegas; Lewis Heading to Milwaukee for Summer League

JeQuan Lewis is in for a busy summer in Las Vegas as the former Ram prepares for training camp with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Lewis had a good senior season for VCU with 15.2 PPG and 531 total points; the point guard out of Tennessee collected 158 assists and 61 steals on the year. JeQuan Lewis finished his collegiate career in 6th place in assists and free throws while making the top 10 in career made three pointers.

This would be the second time that JeQuan Lewis and the Milwaukee Bucks crossed paths. Lewis attended an open workout for the Bucks a few months ago before the NBA Draft took place.

News about this was brought to light by Mindfulness Coach Greg Graber and later confirmed by Richmond Times-Dispatch beat writer Tim Pearrell. The deal for JeQuan Lewis includes the Las Vegas Summer League and an invite to the Milwaukee Bucks training camp. Milwaukee is also the same team that selected former Ram Larry Sanders with the 15th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

NBA Summer League begins on Saturday, July 1st. The Milwaukee Bucks Summer League team will begin play against Cleveland Cavaliers at 6:3o PM EST on Friday, July 7th in Las Vegas.

Friday, July 7th: Milwaukee vs. Cleveland, 6:30 PM on ESPN 2

Sunday, July 9th: Milwaukee vs. Brooklyn, 6:00 PM on NBA TV

Monday, July 10th: Milwaukee vs. LA Clippers, 10:00 PM on ESPN 2

Tournament play for the NBA Summer League will begin on Wednesday, July 12th. The NBA Summer League Championship Game tips-off on Monday, July 17th.

Mark graduated from VCU in 2014 with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. He started as a fan of the Black & Gold in the stands his freshman year. Mark was known as "Kazie" for his charismatic fandom with the VCU's student organization the Rowdy Rams. While at VCU he gained experience in sports media with WVCW on a sports radio show called Rowdy Radio. Following graduation, Mark continued crafting his social media skills with the Richmond Kickers while also handling VCU coverage. He is a true fan of the Rams and vocally passionate on and off camera. After the final whistle, you can probably find him at local RVA bar or brewery enjoying a drink and conversation.
